Big Lagoon is a fishing port, and was established by the Lord Toric's holders in the Ninth Interval. The curve of the lagoon makes an excellent haven for ships, and is an entry port for those heading down the Delta River towards Drake's Lake and Numbweed Plain. Indeed, the large resource of Numbweed is under Big Lagoon's jurisdiction and Healer Hall was moved here during the tenth Pass for this reason. It is a beautiful location with a wonderful sandy beach. People are advised not to swim past the entrance because of the strong Southern current.

Holder Karodin: Karodin was the happy youngest son of the former Holder of Big Lagoon. Married, and with a large brood of children, he was more than content to take life easy, puttering around in the Healer Hall, learning a little of herbs, but never having the desire to pursue it further. However, a plague wiped out more than half his family and he found himself having the difficult task of learning how to be a Holder at the same time as grieving for his father and two older brothers. In the Turns that followed, he proved many wrong and slowly but surely; Karodin has brought the Hold back to the place that it is once again providing much of the Southern Continent with Numbweed. His light-hearted ways have been tempered by terrible loss. Much too early, for a man of his turns, he sports a mane of grey hair and laugh wrinkles intermix with wrinkles born of sorrow.
