Masterharper Robinton first discovered Cove on a reconnaissance trip to the Southern Continent. The Weyrs, Holds and Halls of the north built the first building here. Although expanded during the ninth interval, the hall still retains much of its original styling, including suspending the floors above the ground to let the air circulate. Cove Hold is famed for its beaches and peaches, in addition to raising sweetcane and varieties of grain. During the Ninth Interval the Southern Harper Hall was established at Cove and although damaged by fire during that Pass it was repaired in the Tenth Interval. During the excavations at the Ancient's Plateau the Harpers here served as correspondents.

| Lord Holder Rener: | Rener
took over the already prosperous Cove Hold at the tender age of twenty-five
turns. Now well into his sixth decade, and a survivor of the disease,
he has made shrewd yet honest trades over the Turns, ensuring his once
large brood of sons had more than enough resources at their disposal to
expand their holdings. Tragedy hit during the disease's progress, and
many died, though other children stepped forward, and even the occasional
grandchild.
Known for smooth diplomacy and generous hospitality, he has been asked several times to step in to help resolve conflicts between holders of smaller properties surrounding him. He is a strong ally to the leadership at Monaco Weyr and his prompt and plentiful tithes of the highest quality serve as an example to the Holders around him. |
