Timezones

Breakfast at Cove Hold, lunch at the Healer Hall, and dinner at Ierne Weyr? It may sound like the life of a jet setter but, thanks to the ability of dragons to go between, crossing vast distances nearly instantly, it is a possible, if exhausting, day's effort on Pern. While most other forms of travel would give no sense of the difference in times across the continent, betweening is a fast way to learn that Rukbat shines different parts of day on different parts of the continent at the same time. Although Pern does not formally have timezones from the point of view of its characters, SouCon does use them for the convenience of knowing what time of day it is!

These timezones are approximated from 'The Atlas of Pern' and 'Dragonsdawn'.
